Teaser: The Winner Takes It All, 1: Trading Down

Right now I'm working hard on the opener of a new erotic romance PJ Adams serial, and having great fun.

For the writers among you: you know those times when you craft a sentence and then you sit back and think that it's just perfect for those characters, for that story... that it sums up exactly what you're writing?

Here's one of those:

She leaned back, arching her spine, her head full of This is wrong... another mistake... you don’t know this guy but one of the few things you do know is that he’s trouble and the rest of her filled with I don’t care.

It may not make the final edit unscathed, but right now: this is the story I'm writing; this is the mood I'm writing.
