FrankenDom Goodies!!!

A few weeks ago, I went to Texas to visit my lovely fellow Smutketeers RG Alexander and Eden Bradley, and Eden was all over me to do some promo stuff to take to RT--aka the Romantic Times Convention, which is in Kansas City this year. Woot! This is the closest any convention has ever been (or will ever be) to me, a mere 5 hours' drive. It was close enough to drive last year, too--Chicago--but I had to bail at the last minute because of the fosters.

Anyway, I generally don't bother making promo stuff--I throw away too much of it without even looking, especially things like bookmarks.  What do I need bookmarks for?  I read on my computer.

But I loved FrankenDom's cover so much (both of them, actually) that I couldn't resist ordering some useful promo items. I'd already ordered some full-size posters of the original cover, and I still intend to take them to RT to use as giveaways. I also have a spiral notebook made with the old cover, which I love--there'll be no mistaking my notebook for anyone else's!

After much deliberation, I finally decided to do rulers because there's a classroom fantasy in the story.  I thought about hiring someone to do the artwork for me, but 1) I have Photoshop, 2) I could envision exactly what I wanted, and 3) I'd had a chance to watch RG work with Photoshop while I was in Texas so I had a better idea of what I was doing.

So I did them myself. Here's the result:

Some days I just impress the shit outta myself.  *buffs nails on shirt* In fact, I was so excited with my rulers, I decided to go ahead and do my own Romance Trading Cards:

I don't mind saying, I just about screamed with delight when I was finished with them. And when they arrived...  Let's just say I haven't molested paper goods quite so thoroughly since the author copies of my first print book arrived.

I'll obviously be giving out the rulers and trading cards at RT, but I know not everyone can attend. So what do you think? Would you want any of this stuff--rulers, spirals, posters--if I used it in my contests? Would any of you want me to mail you trading cards?
