This May Be Slightly Bad Backstage Etiquette...

…but Alex Kingston, aka River Song, coming into the hotel lobby in her comfy jammies with Ugg boots in the morning is about the most adorable human I have ever seen.

Being a big River Song fan, I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to have spoken with her several times and to have found out how kind, generous and caring she is. She has nothing but positive things to say about the huge mass of fans waiting to see her each day, and never seems to betray a single graceless moment.

Really a very special person. Speaking with her about Dinah Lance was really joyful…she shared a couple little things about how she saw the character that so perfectly tied in with my vision of Dinah’s mum that I was a bit stunned.

It’s nice…lots of actors at these events are sort of somewhat diva-esque, even some comic book creators have that vibe. It’s nice that someone whose work and characters I admire is so approachable and thoughtful to others.
