Releasing April 20th!
I’m working with a brand new publisher on this release, my editor has left the company to do other things, and I’m five posts short from finishing writing my blog tour for Temporary Roommates.
Add in the fact I’m in the middle of contract negotiations on another project and writing the second book to that series.
Forgot to mention I have a round of edits due on my middle grade time travel at the end of the month.
And next weekend, the amazing Michael Hauge is visiting St. Louis teaching his Story Mastery Workshop and I’m playing lunch lady because I opened my mouth one too many times during the MoRWA board meeting.
chaos.
So, time to go back to the basics. I’m writing today and tomorrow until I hit my word count goal. Then focusing on the edits to get them off my desk this weekend (goal). I’ve got a list of must do housekeeping things -like get food into the house and maybe give my dog a bath. And, because it’s going to be 70 degrees tomorrow, I’m scheduling in a walk for both days.
The website updates will go on a next week list along with any blog posts I can put off writing.
Lists and prioritizing. My only evil plan so far.
What tips or techniques do you use to manage the chaos?
