Review on My empty purse :D
"Tanzania, Jamila, Kenan and Daren have 12 years, are inseparable and full of energy. Every night they slip away secretly to run down to the lake and watch the sunrise. But they're not normal guys: they are shape shifters, a life divided between their wild nature, as king of the forest and the human.
Things change when Mark Shelby and his henchmen arrive in Tanzania. They are nothing more than unscrupulous poachers, with the sole purpose to draw lion cubs to bring them to a zoo.
The adults will fight to protect them, but unfortunately Kenan is kidnapped. So Daren promises solemnly that he would do anything to bring him home.
Since then there have been nine years, intense years, during which research never stops. Many things have changed but the threat persists.
I really loved the originality of the plot, among all the creatures that swarm in the fantasy shapeshifter I missed the Lions, plus you see them act in their natural environment, we are not in a big city but in Tanzania and images that are invoked to mind, by descriptions of the landscape, are beautiful.
I liked the story, I was blown away and surprised at certain points. The characters are well defined on all aspects, but I must admit that I have not fully understood kenan, I did not understand his choices, nor his struggles.
The final did not expect... I would have preferred to be developed a little more, but I must admit that the plot has taken a very different way from what I expected. I expected that the romantic aspect was more pronounced and instead I had to think again.
And here I tell you what for me was the downside... first, the love triangle, yes there is also here... the worst among other things: he loves her, but she loves the other, who doesn't love her. It must be said that things get well, so no long faces.
The parts that are I liked less are those corny, you know the ones where he looks at her and gets lost in her, he describes in a hundred ways how beautiful / sexy she is etc... those. I know it is my fault, in the face of certain phrases have the same reaction that children have when they see two adults who cuddle... puff... I have to do?
Did I mention that romance and I are separated in house? No? Well now you know...
The fate can do many things. It can bring people together, or separate them. Even forever. It can punish and can cause suffering so bad. It can unbalance a warrior just at the crucial moment, and be the first to declare his defeat. It can decide the outcome of the battle, simply by moving the direction of the wind.
Anyway, I liked it so much and I would recommend."
