I spent about 2 hours late last night painting an IKEA Göran table pure black for my office. These pointed supports are excellent to keep whatever it is you're painting off the floor, allow you to finish the bottom cleanly (such as table legs), and provide minimal contact with the surface they're holding. They worked really well.
