A Tunnel Too Far. Sitting down to write a new story, or any piece for that matter, is like entering a tunnel portal. You don't know where you are going to be when you come out the other side. When you are halfway through and can't see either end - the point of no return - it's horrible. Turning back may be an option only in the very beginning, but once you are committed to the journey, you better hope there's a light at the other end.
