New blog up
I wanted to mention that I just posted a new blog, A King's Ransom and More Random Thoughts. I won't post it here unless Goodreads fails to do so. They'd stopped for a while, but then resumed the practice. I have posted some excerpts from Ransom, and did some musing about Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey.

Hi Sharon: I'm afraid I'm confused about the difference between your blog and your Goodreads Facebook page. Are they the same? Is a comment posted on one, posted on the other? As someone who sometimes puts his two farthings (sorry) worth in. I don't know which would be better. I posted a note about Downton Abbey on one of them, but I don't know which and I can't find it. I'll freely admit that I am Not a computer techie.

I recently started posting my Facebook posts here, Steven, since so many of the Goodreads posters do not ever venture onto Facebook. Since Goodreads automatically posts my blogs, it made sense to me to add the Facebook notes, too. If you post here, I am probably more likely to see it since I have four Facebook pages and there is a lot of traffic on them. I am so not a computer techie myself. You can probably tell by the names I give my computers--Demon Spawn, Rosemary's Baby, Lucifer's Hand Maiden, or my current Melusine, named after the Demon Countess of Anjou, a well deserved name, I might add.
Love the computer names. Mine are Gidget (work), Idjit(Home) and Widget(netbook). I have not yet named my Kindle Fire as it has done nothing to piss me off recently. My husband, just yesterday, discovered that I have two Kindles - which he doesn't understand - and has started calling them Thing One and Thing Two. I admit that I am a geek wanna be - there in lies the reason for my lighter hand in naming. But they all have to have names!!!
I like those names, Gin. And I totally agree; they need names!
