A puzzle:How to market an eBook?

When I first thought of bringing out a 48-year-old memoir as an eBook, it seemed like a far-fetched and almost impossible idea. But when it started to take hold of my mind, it seemed like maybe it could become reality. Then I found that working with a New York agent and Untreedreads.com, my idea really came to actuality! Now we have as an eBook "The Barrios of Manta, a Personal Story of the Peace Corps in Ecuador"", the very first memoir ever to be written by Peace Corps Volunteers, originally published in 1965. It has been a many faceted ride, joyous and intriguing, yet frustrating too. The original excitement of having an eBook out there has given way to the hard reality of understanding I am my own best marketer, a skill which has taken me a few months to sharpen. Jay Hartman, publisher, has been most helpful with ideas as to how to go to the libraries and how mount a FaceBook page, but it is still a mystery to me as to how to best get the word out to potential eBook buyers.
Last Saturday I was invited to attend a Writers' Book Festival in the Twin Cities, and I was the only eBook author among 75 authors displaying their books. It was a fun challenge to figure out ways to have a booth and promote my book. Untreedreads provided me with a post card design that I had printed and which I could autograph to potential readers. It was fun to rise to the occasion and I did enjoy this new forum for marketing my book. I am mostly interested in helping my audiences learn about the Peace Corps and its validity in the world today; grass roots humanitarian service is still the best way to deepen people-to-people relationships that will truly enhance world peace.
