I read a lot this week!

Up first was the first book in the Night Series, THE FIRST NIGHT by Sidda Lee Tate. I had picked this one up a little bit ago, just hadn't had a chance to read it. The second book in the series released, prompting me that I needed to read the first. I loved it! It gripped me from the first page all the way to the last. I kid you not, I'm thankful this was a novella. I didn't get up until I had read the entire thing. And then...I quickly downloaded the second book, HIJACKED. Yes folks, they are that good!

Anyway, in THE FIRST NIGHT, we get the more reserved friend Kayla who finds herself very attracted to the bar owner, Gannon. Kayla let's go and decided to be a little more adventurous than she usually is. The chemistry is there from the beginning with these two. And I like the little twist that the author tossed in. Nope, my lips are sealed. :)

Amazon Which brings me to HIJACKED, the second book in the Night series. We meet Sharon in the first story. And in the second, she gets her story. I must say, the first one was hot, HIJACKED was smokin'! 

Sharon and Kyle were getting steamy from the first scene and they didn't stop until the end. The story line between them was fun and believable  And in this one also, the author threw in a slight twist.

Amazon I belong to an online book club, and this was our months pick, HEAVEN IS FOR HEROS. This is an emotional ride. The heroine, Jordie is in highschool and her brother is killed in the line of duty. As the reader, you get taken into the life of a teenager as they deal with something like this. Her brothers best friend returns to town. Alex was injured in the line of duty and was with her brother.

In this story, Jordie isn't only trying to help Alex who is dealing with a protestic leg, but also determine why her brother was killed. She doesn't believe what the miliaty told them, and oes her best to uncover the truth, while fighting her attraction to Alex.

Amazon And finally this week, I read SUCCESSFUL SELF PUBLISHING by Shoshanna Evers and a variety of other readers. This book was very positive and upbeat and if anyone can read it and not want to run out and self-pub, then they didn't read the same book!
