Yep…it’s true. I’m down and out with the flu! Therefore my fuzzy brain has decided that this weeks blog will simply be a contest to win the Seven Brides of Seven Brothers Two Disk DVD!
Yesterday on my Facebook, I posted a photo from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and who knew so many of us still love this wonderful movie?! Therefore, just leave a comment here or on Facebook, Goodreads, etc., letting me know why YOU like the movie and you’re entered! As usual, I’ll draw a name out of my hat next Monday to see who wins.

I love this movie because of the memories associated with it. I watched this with my mom and all the girl cousins. We were even singing songs from Seven Brides when we were walking around Rome....something triggered us singing about them Sobbing Women!
I love this movie because it reminds me of when my mother played Dorcas in a community theater production when I was a little girl. I remember watching the dance scenes from this movie over and over as she tried to transfer the choreography into a small stage production.
I love this movie because of the music! The lyrics and all! And because all them Pontipee brothers remind me of my seven brothers! In everything they do and say, it's just like watching my brothers. And most my brothers have reddish hair too! I watched this with my dad about a month ago just me and him. It was on TCM after "singin' in the rain", it was great watching it with my dad. It made me realize that this is my favorite movie, and I'm just sixteen! But I love it! Best movie ever!
I already love musicals, and this is one of the best! I love this movie because the talent these actors had to have is amazing: singing, dancing, gymnastics....And this seems to be the one musical that even the guys love, like my dad and husband, and that's saying a lot. It never gets old, it's totally romantic, and full of old-fashioned manly men and great songs that make you want to break out in song and dance yourself!
