Saturday Snippet

When I was writing Because of You, my editor asked for several changes at various parts. According to her, I was too nice and I didn't want my characters to suffer. She insisted that I make them hurt! It was tough, but I got through it. There is one scene in Because of You that always makes me cry–no matter how many times I read it. I'm only giving you a bit because I don't want to ruin the suspense of the moment. It is, in my mind, the darkest moment in any of the books I've ever written.
