Down the Rabbit Hole Again
Welcome to this week’s Sneak Peak Sunday and Sunday Snog.
Last time, I shared with you a sweet first kiss between Allison and the Italian hunk, Nico. Today’s scene features Allison’s ex-boyfriend the rodeo cowboy who is dying to win her back. At the beginning of this scene Allison has finally come face to face with Cole in Venice. Dreading this moment, she literally bumps into him as she’s coming out of the ladies room in the hotel lobby.
Here’s the excerpt:
He held on to her as though she were an unruly child. “Nico and I go way back. It’s only fair that I told him my intentions where you were concerned. Can’t go lettin’ the man get his heart broken, can I? Please,” Cole pleaded. “Go up to my room with me, and we’ll have a little talk. Just talk.”
“Since when have we ever just talked?” Allison snapped angrily, holding back.
“Well, we don’t have to just talk.” Cole pulled her to him tightly, grabbing her waist and bringing her pelvis towards his as he kissed her hard and deep.
When they finally untangled their tongues from their passionate embrace, Cole whispered in her ear, “Come with me, baby. Please come with me.”
Allison felt herself falling down that same dark rabbit hole again.
