The Advice You Need to Hear Before Leaving for a “Working Vacation”

I’ve been traveling for a week and a half now, and can’t wait to head back to Seattle tomorrow. In addition to letting myself fall behind on work to enjoy my time with family (and my now-9-month-old niece OMG!), I also ran into unexpected lack of internet Friday, Saturday, and most of Sunday (always, always happens when I have a deadline…) We’ve been in a hotel and four guest rooms since landing in Wisconsin, and we’ve eaten more gravy and cheese than we should probably have all month.
