OpiniãoAcabei de ler “Nómada” a 8 de março de 2013 e dou-lhe cinco estrelas.Confesso que o número de páginas me assustou um pouco de início, mas a letra também é grande, o que equilibrou um pouco as coisas. Apesar do pouco tempo disponível, consegui lê-lo entre domingo e sexta-feira, o que foi muito bom. Fiquei satisfeita comigo mesma, pois mostra que estou a reentrar num ritmo de leitura mais perto do habitual e já consigo gerir os meus horários um pouco melhor.Em relação ao livro em si, gostei da história no geral. Achei-a original e gostei da ideia. A narrativa fluiu de forma natural, não achei as coisas forçadas e, na generalidade, gostei do ritmo e do rumo que tomou. Achei as personagens credíveis, talvez um pouco à exceção de Noa, mas, pelos vistos, a sua bondade extrema faz parte das características das Almas, daí não estar familiarizada com isso, lol!Quanto ao que menos gostei, aponto as primeiras cem páginas. Achei-as desmotivantes, não me cativaram e até me fizeram pensar se valia a pena ler o resto. Ainda bem que continuei, porque as coisas melhoraram consideravelmente.Também achei que a narrativa tinha muita “palha”. Eliminaria muita coisa que não tem objetivo concreto e apenas está a encher chouriços. Mudaria ainda algumas coisas, mas isso é o que pensam todos os leitores quando estão a ler uma história.

ReviewI finished reading "The Host" on 8th March 2013 and I rate it five stars.I confess that the number of pages scared me a little at first, but the font is big, which evened things up a bit. Despite the short time available, I read it between Sunday and Friday, which was very good. I was pleased with myself, because it shows that I'm reentering a reading pace closer to normal and I can manage my schedule a little better.Regarding the book itself, I liked the story in general. I found it original and I liked the idea. The narrative flowed naturally, things were not forced and, overall, I liked the pace and the direction it took.I found the characters believable, except maybe Noa, but, apparently, her extreme kindness is part of the characteristics of the Souls, hence I’m be familiar with them, lol!As for what I liked least, I point out the first hundred pages. I thought that they were demotivating, they didn’t captivate me and they even made me wonder if it was worth reading the rest. Good thing I did, because things improved considerably.I also thought the story had a lot of "straw". I would eliminate a lot of stuff that has no practical purpose and is only “filling sausages”. I would still change some things, but that's what every reader thinks when they are reading a story.
