It’s been a busy, but fun, couple of weeks - for the first time I’ve had the chance to get out and about with The Screaming Staircase, talking about it first at the Random House Sales Conference in central London, then to a select group of bloggers at a Blogger’s Brunch one Saturday morning. Both times, I brought along with me a DIY ghost-hunting kit, modelled on the ones that Lockwood & Co carry around with them. The iron chains are a highlight, but my prototype rapier is somewhat bendy… I’ll have to track down a more heavy-duty sword as the year goes on.
Some beautiful PROOFS of the UK edition have come in: it’s an amazing feeling when a project - which for so long has basically been bits of paper scattered round my office - suddenly becomes a genuine book, with lovely covers and everything. We’ll be making the fab Lockwood logo public later this week - here, on Facebook and on Twitter… Stay tuned!
