Audio Peeves.... GAME OF THRONES
Okay, I'm a huge audio book fan, but I've been listening to the audiobooks for the last three books in George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones series.....
AARRRGH!
Roy Dotrice is a fine narrator UNTIL he gets to the character dialogue.
Why, oh why does every character sound like a pirate? Even Dani sounds like a Scottish crone and Brianne sounds like a deranged hobbit. Seriously, it's making me crazy.
And shame on continuity! In one book, he says "Gilly" as in a fish's gill... but in the next, it's suddenly "Jilly".. then the next book, it's back to Gilly.
