AWOL!
Sorry I had a shit storm of family drama hit. I am almost ready to hide away in a cave for a few years. I would totally love a zombie apocalypse or just some form of apocalypse right now. Here is a quick recap of what I was supposed to do this past week. I'll make it short and easy ;)
What do you do to pass the time while waiting on a manuscript acceptance?
Write more! I try to anyway. I might play some video games, read or just veg out catching up on shows.
Have you ever had a rejection letter? If so, how did you feel? If not, how do you think you would feel?
I have a few. You know I should have been sad but they were never mean. They were just a we don't accept what you have to offer sorry. I never really pushed myself out there to much I did some years ago, but even then I knew I needed to do some more work. I think they make you really look for who would you like to actually help you and your book.
How much of your real life/experiences are in your books? Talk a little about why you use it or why you don't.
I use some people personalities that I know in real life. Some real life/experiences help give the characters a personality. Why do you want to know what color she likes? Or what kind of hobby they would spend their time on. I want to take as much experience I have and give these characters this plus more. I want them to be somewhat believable.
Share a little about your favorite character from a book you've written.
This is one of the hardest questions to answer. I love all my characters evenly. If I had to really choose it would be Autumn in Awaken the Elements coming out this year. She is magic and really wants to be normal. Me on the other hand I am normal and want to be magic.
What book have you written that isn't selling as well as you thought it would and why you like it and decided to write it.
Actually I think they are all doing WAY better then I thought they would.
