Hey thanks, Bev!
I think I will end up writing all of them at some point. I keep seeing scenes for each story and that is usually a sign it needs to be written. :P My husband told me he was most interested in the coming out to the son story, so this week I started that one--it's an interesting one for me to write too, because it's written in the first person present tense, which I haven't braved before. I like trying new things! :)
BUT . . . actually, the story I just finished (that is currently in the re-writing/content editing phase) is a story set in a small village in what was once East Germany. The village is inspired by the place where my husband grew up. ;)
So there is most definitely a few stories coming up set in Germany!
I like the overseas year abroad too. I can really relate to the experience as well. Seven years ago, when I first moved to Germany and barely could pronounce 'Auf Wiedersehen' I lived in my (now) husband's small village (1000 people) for a month before moving to Berlin. No one but my hubby spoke English and boy was I lost in translation. . . . So, yeah, I'm sure at some point this story will get written as well.
:D
Oh, yeah, and you're totally welcome for (Un)masked. We enjoyed writing that together.
I like your emoticons! I need to figure out how to do that. . . .
Hey thanks for your reply....I don't really mind which story, they all sound good. As for the 'smilies' or emoticons, you need Mozilla Firefox and download the 'Koloboks' add-on, and Bob's your uncle!! Enjoy. X
I wonder why you would say that Andrew....love the pics on your page by the way, such a cutie!! And as I've already said to Anyta, many many thanks for (Un) Masked....one of my fave books this year so far, recommended to me by a fellow author of yours Tom (TA) Webb. All the very best in the future. X
Bev, are you accusing me of being biased where Anyta is concerned? :-OOkay - guilty as charged. :D
Thanks for checking out the family pictures. She's totally the cutest thing in the family
No, no bias whatsoever Andrew (whistles politely). All kids are different, so you may by-pass the terrible twos and threes altogether as I did with my son....but you can bet your life, they'll get you later on, somehow, some way - sure there must be a song there somewhere (?). Hope the rest of your weekend is peaceful. X
If I had to pick one (but only if I REALLY had to pick one, otherwise I'd love to read all of them), it'd be the college based story. I remember how I loved 'Social Skills' and I can imagine lots of great situations and sweet misunderstandings and I think the idea of 'replacing' the straight flatmate (poor guy, he didn't even make it on paper that we're already talking about replacing him, lol) with a female character might bring a different and more exciting angle to the story.:-)
My husband wanted me to write the story about the dad with the 15 year old son, who wants to reclaim his twenties. So I did that for him and it resulted in the story Taboo For You. For another blog post on this see here.
Yay, you went with Smashwords!! Pats herself on the shoulder...I really like them. Off to check out the story now
.

If I do have to pick a winner, it would be the German option, the overseas year abroad...I have a lot of friends on GR who are German, and I'm sure they would love a story revolving around their homeland.
PS Many thanks to you and Andrew Q. Gordon for (Un)masked...outstanding!!
