Inspired idea?

I was thinking the other night about how very few of my readers (and potential readers) know me. This is something that could be view as a good thing or a bad thing. I finally, after hours of tossing the idea around, decided that ultimately it isn’t the best thing. So then I got to thinking about how I might change this and give people a chance to get to know me, or more importantly how I became the person I am today. After dwelling on the subject for a day or two I realised that there was one year in particular that really shaped me. During the course of this year I grew up a lot. I learned to grieve, I learned to love, and I learned how to channel my feelings into writing. This was actually the year I discovered my love of writing. I was 15 years old. This one year impacted heavily on my life and I most certainly wouldn’t be the person I am today without it. Thankfully this year was also pretty well documented by me in the form of poetry. I have decided to put a select few of these poems into a book and lay myself bare, as it were. Some of the poems are quite dark, some are more insightful and some are just plain whining! Whichever category they fall into though they all had a story behind them and they all helped me to grow.

Whether or not anyone will be interested in reading them remains to be seen, but I do feel that I will be a good exercise for me mentally whatever the outcome.
