I will look forward to your update in September!

But there are always two sides of the story:
If the readers are angry because your books are not out yet, it means they are your fans, which is a good news (or bad news because they are harassing you).
If the readers are not angry, it means, they have been reading other books, which might be a bad news (or good news, because you have less pressure).
Personally, I am not that bothered by the delay. Hey, there are plenty of books out there to read. But I have to admit, I enjoy you book immensely.
And if you have done this one exceptionally well, I will even buy the collectible sets. So take your time...

Personally I will wait as long as it takes.
It is your being forthright and communicative that I as a a reader and fan appreciate.

I much rather wait and get the book exactly like you imagined it for us.
Your the guide on this epic journey and we shall stay at the busstop till you bring the next bus around
cheers,
JC

So relax, keep writing, make it the best you feel it can be, surprise us, excite us... We will be here whenever it is released!!

Now I don't know anything about the next volume, but I will be so bold as to throw a few titles for the third into the mix:
Refracted Son
Opaline Tide (dual reference to both Gunney's ship and the amassed forces of the Color Wights)
Just my $0.02; but it may not be such a bad idea to cull your audience on ideas for the title--even if you don't pick one from the fans, you get ideas and feedback on what title words or phrases are likely to sell well.

After reading the second book i really want to soak that ending and apply it to what i think is coming in book three. So many mysteries yet unanswered and so many thoughts and plots already twisting in my head. I can't wait to see what you have planned.
I'm also happy to hear that their is a 4th book after that?
Keep on trucking. I love your writing and will re-read everything when its all finished like i'm doing with the night angel series.
Good luck in the coming months!

Thank you for the countless hours of enjoyment you have brought me, good sir. I eagerly await your next novel. And since I'll be finishing my MA up in August, I'll finally have time to read what I want, when I want for the first time in five years - so count me in for a first-day purchase!
While I, of course, would love to pick up the third book as soon as I finish the second, I know that's not very probable. I'm having so much fun being in the world that I want the third one to be the best it can be.
I appreciate your honesty about where you are and, at least for this fan, will wait until you think it's ready!
