I'm allowed to be a little chuffed, here. After all,
http://www.bakkaphoenixbooks.com is officially the oldest sf/f bookstore in the world. It's also a fabulous place, with great staff who are supportive of all authors. Many of them ARE authors, and darned fine ones at that.
This Saturday, March 9th, from 3-6 pm, I'll be sitting behind stacks of A TURN OF LIGHT, watching it head home in the hands of (hopefully) eager readers, soon to be deep in Marrowdell. There'll be TOAD cookies (two batches), Signed commemorative MAPS (free with the first 50 books bought at the store), and a reading by yours truly (not too long, somewhat scary, and fun).
A launch for a new book marks that shift between potential and reality. I've waited a very long time to see this one happen. That the first time, in this world (or any other) will be at Bakka Phoenix Books? Truly a joy. See you there!
A Turn of Light
