I think it is 4 becasue the firstbook is by pittacus lore who is reborn and writing and the title is I AM NUMBER FOUR (I=its pittacus), the others are what happens to the other numbrs

I still don't know who I think would be pittacus lore. I understand your opinion to it being four but I guess I will have a better idea once I know about the others more.

The title "The Fall Of Five" makes it sound like five will die.

True but if you look at the others in the series, the power of six and the rise of nine, they are about six and nine not six garde's or nine garde's.
It could still be five of them that will die.

really? in power of six isn´t it about looking for others together they are stronger?
and rise of nine isn´t only about nine there is number eight and last fight there is only few reminders about nine vs setracur more focus is on 4,6 and 7
yes i agree that five will die, it is probably not about 5 garde dying lathough this is probable, if 5 die, only 2 will live to repopulate lorien and take it back, it doesn't seem likely, maybe only 1 ill die, and 1 cepan will die.It could mean 5 will fall to the dark side
and it mostly is about those certain people like six is the new one, or nine is.
But nine was very important last book

I think that #5 is going to become Setrakus Ra's ally as well.Also, i believe #4 is Pittacus' reborn for 2 reasons:
1st- The title of the first book, although it could be only a meaningless reference to the fact that he actually says it in the opening of the book. He goes like: "Three of us are now dead, i am #4" or something along those lines.
2nd: He does develop the "healing" legacy, like Marina's legacy. Although #9 also has #4's legacy that enables him to talk with animals.
So, i'm not sure of anything yet and that's what makes it sort of exciting. But sometimes speculating is better than reality, or you just guess correctly and that's not cool at all.
I just hate it when i get to reading a book series that's not yet finished, and i have to wait and, (guess what?) speculate.

I agree too. I just can't wait for the next book to come out. but I think no. 4 is Pittacus and I also think that no.5 will be Setrakus Ra's ally in some way. but if he does be an ally of the dark side, it can really be interesting. you know to fight their own kind and trying to change no.5's mind to the good side.Arhhhhh!! Two words "Can't Wait!!"

Or does Four have Nine's legacy of talking to animals? I think it is Four who is Pittacus because he is on the right track to developing all of the legacies with already having two that belong to other Garde. I think either Five or one of the three Garde that died have the legacy of Lumen

Anyways, Four is Pittacus imho because the first book's title is "I am Number Four", and the series is 'supposedly' written by Pittacus Lore.
I cant wait for the final battle where we see all their powers
