Google's Lunar Fixation

Google has announced that it will offer $20 million to the first privately funded company to land a robot on the moon. By 2015, the robot must travel 500 meters (roughly 1/3 of a mile) and send high definition images/video back to Earth. There will also be additional compensation for traveling more that 5 kilometers, discovering water, and finding evidence of previous lunar landings.
