An exercise in time dilation mathematics. Assuming Sam’s estimate of time is accurate:
3 minutes = 1 week.
One day (1440 minutes) = 480 weeks (~1.3 years)
18 months his soul spent in the Cage = ~5035 years Cage time
In most fics, I’ve seen people use Dean’s hell time estimates to calculate how long Sam had been in the Cage, and end up with ~180 years (1 month = 1 year) and that’s bad enough. But this, this is unimaginable. Five thousand years, with Lucifer and Michael. It’s a miracle Sam even remembered how to speak English, and not Enochian.
