Donate To This Kickstarter And Be Thanked In Chuck Palahniuk's 2014 Novel, 'Beautiful You'

___FCKsi___1

If you follow Chuck's Twitter, you may have noticed the word "Kickstarter" being mentioned a lot in the past week. So allow me to explain the backstory of all this. Before I was webmaster of this site and editor in chief of LitReactor.com, I was a filmmaker.  I remain a filmmaker.  It might not be my 'day job,' but it's my ideal job.  Chuck has always been very supportive of this.  He's read and provided invaluable feedback for scripts of mine. He's handed out DVDs of my short films at book readings as prizes.  And when he heard I was launching a Kickstarter to try and raise $50,000 for my upcoming horror feature, Starry Eyes, he wanted to be involved.

Chuck proposed that he would Thank 100 donors on the acknowledgements page of his upcoming 2014 novel Beautiful You. He got this idea from some album from the 70s where the band did something similar on their back cover.

The 'Starry Eyes' Kickstarter launched on February 23rd and already more than half of these Thank Yous have been claimed.  To get Thanked, you either have to pledge to the CULT Status ($200) or the BRAINWASHED status ($350).  The Brainwashed status is the same as the Cult, but comes with perks for the movie: A signed DVD or Blu-ray, a Thank you in the film's End Credits / Website / IMDB, a Cult T-shirt inspired from the film, and an original poster designed by Mondo artist Jay Shaw.

If you want to learn more about the project, watch the video above.  And if I've piqued your interest about the film and rewards we're offering, click this link.  Less than half the Thank Yous remain and they may go quick.  Also, at the time of my writing this, the project is already 42% funded. That leaves us about three weeks to raise almost $30,000.  So please, help us spread the word on Twitter and Facebook.  And keep an eye on StarryEyesFilm.com, which will be launching tonight with pictures, videos, production updates and more.
