The Next Big Thing
Welcome to this blog hop.
What is a blog hop? Basically, it’s a way that readers can discover new authors, because with bookstores closing and publishers not promoting new authors as much, we need to find a way to introduce readers to authors they may not see in their local bookstore.
Here you have the chance to find many new authors. Here you’ll find information about me, what I’m working on now “Your book and if part of a series.” Also see links below to other authors you might like to check out.
I’d like to thank fellow author Jennifer Garcia for tagging me to participate. Click the link below to find out about her upcoming novel, My Mr. Manny.

In this particular hop, my fellow authors, in their respective blogs, and I have answered 10 questions where you get to learn about our current work in progress as well as some insights into our process, from characters and inspirations to plotting and cover decisions. I hope you enjoy it!
Please feel free to comment and share your thoughts and questions. Here is my Next Big Thing!
1: What is the working title of your book?
Static Love
2: Where did the idea come from for the book?
It actually was a tweaked version of something out of The Plot Machine on ScriptFrenzy.org. The original prompt was something along the lines of, "While stealing girl scout cookies a student falls in love with a voice on the radio."
3: What genre does your book come under?
This piece is undoubtedly romance, but definitely dramatic, and it is a time piece.
4: Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
Oh, that's tough! One of the main characters is fashioned after Christopher Eccleston, and I would be beyond honored if he ever wanted to play one of my written characters! Hmmmn... I'm still really trying to figure out my main female lead, but Billie Piper would serve as a wonderful supporting character in the story. As well as Ewan McGregor and Gerard Butler. (That could be because I'm partial to all of them.) There's far more male characters focused on than female.
5: What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
While trying to escape the death of her husband who was lost at war, a woman falls in love with a voice on the radio, and decides to pursue it in hopes of moving on with her life.
6: Is your book self-published, published by an independent publisher, or represented by an agency?
It will be submitted to the independent publisher Renaissance Romance Publishing to be considered once it is completed.
7: How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
It's still being written! Haha. With time pieces there is so much research that you don't really think about needing to do, if you want it to be accurate, until you start writing and you're pausing every few moments to research another fact.
8: What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
Another hard one. I, personally, have never read a book that could compare to what I'm trying to do; I believe that's why I'm so excited to complete it!
9: Who or what inspired you to write this book?
NaNoWriMo, ScriptFrenzy, being a military spouse, a love of radio personalities, a love of the time period that the book takes place (1930's-1950's).
10: What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
The book does not end where you would expect. There comes a point in this book where the main character is going to have to choose between the one that they love and have always loved, or allowing herself to live on without him, but it's not just a matter of to accept or not accept death.
Below you will find authors who will be joining me by blog, next Wednesday. Do be sure to bookmark and add them to your calendars for updates on WIPs and New Releases! Happy Writing and Reading!
