Siege and Storm snippet (help me choose) & GIVEAWAY!

First of all, HUGE LOVE to all of you guys for making today’s cover reveal on io9 so much fun. It was wonderful to see the responses and the tweets and all the craziness. (AndI need to say a big thank you to designer Rich Deas and illustrator Jen Wang, and all of the AMAZING people at Mac Kids Books who made this cover happen.)

Also, camping out with you on twitter while we waited for the reveal? Kind of the best thing ever. Best moment was the insanity that resulted from Elena @NovelSounds posting this gif to keep the campers happy:

Anyway, despite the fact that there was A LOT of trouble logging on to the io9 site to comment (I tried through google, twitter, and FB and failed), y’all fought the good fight and goals were surpassed.
