How much do I write anyway?

Often on Facebook, I see people excited about the next book and begging me to write faster. This made me curious, and I posted a question there about how much people think I write a day, since I suspect there are all sorts of ideas about what writers do. Sure enough--all sorts of answers popped up! It was fun, and I decided to re-post my answer from there over here.

Terri Shirer As much as I LOVE your books..I can appreciate the fact you have a husband and need time for yourself. Wow! 100 pages a day..that's A LOT! Your butt would get tired..LOL

S.S. I'm impressed that you write that much a day.

When I write chapters, I have to step back from my first thoughts and let everything percolate. You prob. don't have that luxury. :-)
