Writing (About) Life: I'm Approachable--According To "Carl."

We've been having days and days of rain, and as a result, I'm "sun-starved." Yesterday we had bright sunshine and 65 degrees--perfect for reading the Sunday paper and the Kindle version of Sebastian Faulk's BIRDSONG outdoors. I expected a visit from "Carl," our neighborhood aspiring bird-catcher. (He's still really bad at it.) For whatever reason, "Carl" has decided I'm approachable. I've decided he's well-fed--which probably explains his marked lack of survival skills.

Anyway, here he is again, just dropping by to see if I had anything easily edible, something in a can or a pouch. Something that wouldn't fly off when he made his big move. I didn't, so after a meow or two, he moved on. He did manage to sneak up on me , though, which is something, I guess.
