5. My favorite cowboy boots have shit-kicker toes.

6. My first dog was a black giant schnauzer named Jerome.

7. I won my first poetry contest when I was five years old.

8. I have had three 'professional' knitting teachers say I can't be taught to knit. (I am knitting a sweater right now.)

9. My favorite city in the world is Rome, but the city I've visited the most in the last 10 years is Denver.
