Hi Leigh! I absolutely adore Shadow and Bone and can't wait for the sequel! It was such a refreshing read! Anyway, I'm a writer myself and was wondering if you have any advice on staying on task and working on only one book at a time?

I wrote a piece for PubCrawl not too long ago about the Romance of the Big Idea and how I try to stay faithful to one project at a time. Basically, it all comes down to acknowledging that there is no perfect project. They all take work. They’re all risky. And in the end, whether the book sells or doesn’t, whether you end up loving or hating the finished product, they’re all the “right” project because they’re all the book you needed to write and were capable of writing at the time.
