Interview with @OliviaStarke, author of the upcoming release, Dirty Love #1NightStand #romance
Welcome Olivia! It’s a pleasure to have you on my blog. For those who don’t know, Olivia is one-third of the team that created the 1Night Stand series. Olivia, can you tell us about your upcoming release?
OS: My newest upcoming release is titled Dirty Love my latest 1Night Stand story for Decadent Publishing. I’ve yet to get cover art or a definite release day, but stay tuned everyone! It’s an erotic paranormal romance, action packed, with a few twists and turns to keep you reading

OS: Snarky, Feisty, Determined
What traits does the hero posses that makes the heroine swoon?
OS: He’s kind, considerate, and a gentleman, things the heroine didn’t realize she wanted in a man.
What was your inspiration for this story?
OS: Not sure, it just popped into my head.
Who is your favorite character from this book? Can you include an excerpt involving this character?
OS: I love Kat, my heroine. She’s a bit immature in the beginning, but she has fire. And she grows by the end of the story.
While upstairs, Kat had spotted wildness in Jared which frightened her a little. He couldn’t hurt her, it’d be physically impossible for someone like him to go further than she wanted. But whatever lay just beneath his collected exterior fired her up, and promised one hell of a night.
Several lust drugged eyes settled on them and she grinned, indulging in their looks of disbelief. She turned to her date. Tracing her palms up his shirtfront, she enjoyed the feel of well-toned muscle beneath the conventional cotton polo. His scent enveloped her, earthy mixed with pure male. Strong and unique to him, it made butterflies beat her insides. His hands covered hers.
“You’re not what I expected, Miss Monroe.” He smiled and her heart galloped. In the lowered lighting of the room his silvery eyes appeared luminescent.
“That’s the idea.” She lifted on tiptoes, lacing her fingers through the cropped strands of his hair. He lowered meeting her lips….
What are you working on now?
OS: My giant partially finished WIP file! I have a little bit of everything in it, and I’m determined to get all them out by the end of the year. NO starting something new until then.
Oh, I have a list like that, too. Can you describe your daily writing routine?
OS: On good writing days I write pretty much from the time I get up to when I go to bed. On days I have other things to do I squeeze writing in.
Are you a plotter or a pantser?
OS: I’m 80% pantser, but am trying to be more plotter with my longer stories. I’m hoping to get 2 full lengths contracted this year. With full lengths you almost have to plot or you write yourself into dead ends. Which I’ve learned the HARD way.
Where do your best ideas come from?
OS: Out of the blue usually, it’s weird how a writer’s mind works. I’ll be doing some random thing like the dishes or walking the dogs and BOOM there it is.
What is your favorite book that you’ve read?
OS: Fiction: The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. Loved it since high school and love it today. I also adore Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. Non-fiction: How To Be A Woman by Caitlin Moran a hilarious and bawdy British feminist. If you’re easily offended I wouldn’t recommend her lol
