That’s not ENTIRELY accurate  (I don’t remember the Torch’s explanation for propulsion, maybe I missed it, I’m not an FF expert), but Wonder Woman was able to ride wind currents, it was mentioned repeatedly.

And Thor’s propulsion isn’t science, it’s magic. And I have no objection to the Marvel stuff, they made that stuff sound fun and exciting. But there wasn’t much in the way of science about it, is all.

Marvel did a lot, a LOT of stuff better than DC. But DC did science better, pretty much always has.
