Quick question: Did you ever put any of your own food recipes in the comic books you've done? I mean, since we're talking about food & all. ^___^

I absolutely have, especially in Welcome to Tranquility.

I used to use food all the time in comics, I think it’s another way to touch the physical senses…comics, physically, are a flat, static medium. So I’m always trying to hit the sense memory of the reader to jog sensations of sound, smell, movement, touch, and taste.

I also think what the characters eat is intensely personal, it says so much about them.

In Tranquility, there are some recipes, including Pink Bunny making my meat loaf, it’s an interesting experiment to me. And several readers have actually made the recipe and sent photos. Fun!
