The Joy of Research

I'm easily distracted. Earlier I stopped in the middle of a scene to google Japanese leeches, just to double-check something. I ended up watching a video of a poor little leech interrupted in its meal, right here. From there, I progressed to a variety of other interesting videos in the user's account. Like this one, which is about those terrifying Japanese hornets that are big like your thumb and quite capable of killing people. Another one, right here, is about Japanese huntsman spiders and how they looove to take shelter in people's homes. That reminded me of a great article I read years ago so I hunted it down to share it.
