Interview with Author – Alyne deWinter

Alyne de Winter grew up in the woods in Massachusetts reading and making up stories. She has been involved in the arts, from painting and drawing, to theater, to dance, being lead singer in a Celtic band, and of course, writing. While finishing her English Lit degree at the University of Washington, she published her poetry of earth magic, winning prizes and recognition for her work.

Psychic since birth, she has been a professional tarot reader, astrologer and healer. In 1997, she was inspired to create a trot deck based on the Holy Grail Legend. Research for this project took her the British Isles where she wound up living for many years. While staying in a haunted house in London, she began writing gothic fiction.

Many of Alyne's short stories can be found on various online magazines and in print collections. Some of her stories are published on her blog: Gothic Faery Tales: http://www.gothicfaerytales.com

The Roses of the Moon I: Mara is her first novel.
