In theory, the world of digital publishing has levelled the playing field for independent authors, all over the world. But, compared to the selling power of the US, are UK writers at a disadvantage?
I'm tempted to say yes. With Amazon geared towards American sales and promotion, we are lacking in opportunties to use the site fully. The Kindle indie author page is available in the US only, and UK-based members of Amazon Prime only last month gained access to the only 'library' of books.

As a UK-based writer I was very interested to come across this post. Prior to reading it I had no idea just how Amazon can work to the disadvantage of writers in the United Kingdom.
