Hey Vicksters!
It's the final day of the contest for a chance to win a free copy of the Cabin for Two Anthology with stories from me, Toni Griffin, Freddy MacKay, Angel Martinez, Mathilde Watson and Silvia Violet. Six stories all centered around men getting it on, falling in love, meeting and/or rekindling their love at a cabin. I have been so honored and humbled to be a part of this anthology with such amazing authors and I am so looking forward to working with them again.
Now on to the questions!
Today's questions come from a show that I loved as a kid called, "My Two Dads." I didn't know why I was so obsessed with the show and just why I felt as if the two dads should have been together and not dating women, but I so get it now. This show was way ahead of its time with its foundational principles and I so look forward to reminiscing over it.
For those of you unfamiliar with the show's synopsis, here it is from Wikipedia:
The show begins when Marcy Bradford, the mother of twelve-year-old Nicole Bradford, dies. The two men who had competed for the woman's affections before Nicole was born — Michael Taylor, a successful financial advisor; and struggling artist Joey Harris, former friends who hated one another because of their mutual interest in Marcy — are awarded joint custody of Nicole.
The mix-ups of two single men raising a teenage daughter provided the story each week. Judge Margaret W. Wilbur, a family court judge who awarded custody of Nicole to Michael and Joey, would frequently visit the new family and served as Nicole's mentor. This was because she had bought the building in which Joey lived and was now the live-in landlord. Michael had originally had his own condo uptown, but had been evicted from it, due to Joey's painting of the walls, and as such, moved into Joey's artist's loft.
Nicole's actual paternity was never revealed on the show. In the episode "Pop, the Question", Michael and Joey — after a falling out — had a
DNA test run to determine which of them was Nicole's biological father. The test was conducted against Nicole's wishes, who destroyed the results before opening them since she was happier not knowing who the father was. Michael and Joey later resolve their differences and reconcile. Judge Wilbur looked at the results, but threw them away without revealing them to the audience.
The series came to an end (in the episode called "See You in September?") when Joey reconnected with a former girlfriend named Sarah and eventually moved to San Francisco to live with her and her daughter, Grace. He keeps in contact with Nicole, Michael and Judge Wilbur, all of whom remained in New York. Nicole made reference to her coming to San Francisco and visiting him, then she ended her letter to Joey by saying that no matter what or where he was or who he was with, he would always be one of her two dads.

47. "Pop, the Question"
When a counselor feels the question of Nicole's paternity is the source of squabbling between Joey and Michael, he offers the option of a DNA test to settle the issue.
Nicole's actual paternity was never revealed on the show. In the episode "Pop, the Question", Michael and Joey — after a falling out — had a DNA test run to determine which of them was Nicole's biological father. The test was conducted against Nicole's wishes, who destroyed the results before opening them since she was happier not knowing who the father was. Amy Hathaway played Nicole's worldly best friend, Shelby Haskell.
After the demise of that show, she tinkered around working on another short lived sitcom (“Going Places” with Alan Ruck and Holland Taylor) and did some guest spots before she landed a starring role in “Step By Step” a 90’s version of The Brady Bunch starring Patrick Duffy and Suzanne Summers. She played Dana Foster, daughter of Carol (Summers) who was the stereotypical smart, wisecracker of the group of kids, spending much of her screen time putting down her step brother JT. The show lasted 7 seasons, the first six a part of ABC’s TGIF lineup, and the last season on CBS. The focus of the show was of course Duffy and Summers, but many of the secondary plots were revolved around Keanan’s character.
"My Two Dads" is the fifth episode of Scrubs' first season. Dr. Kelso and Dr. Cox fight over J.D.'s trust. Elliot uses her breasts to heal numerous patients. Turk tries to stop Carla opening her gift; a pen which has been in someone's rectum.
