A serious query: why are there no superheroes or supporting cast in mainstream comics of Armenian descent? Or Portuguese, Cameroonian, Serbian, Romanian or even Peruvian? The comics medium's been around for nearly a century, and they never thought to creat

Well, the answer is, I’m sure, that until recently, it was darn near impossible to find ANYONE in comics who wasn’t white and American (except for some villains, of course).

There are a lot of groups that still have little to no visibility. I don’t know what to do about it except to keep asking people in the industry. I’m sure we have some writers and artist from those countries in comics.

I’m not passing the buck, I really am trying to add more diversity but I only do a couple books and only introduce a small handful of characters each year.

Hopefully we can make this happen.
