Soulless
Thanks everyone for reading or requesting my novel. DESCENDANT came to me as a vision, or as I like to call it "an epiphany". As a child, I always loved writing creatively. I NEVER though, at 40 something, that I'd actually write a novel, let alone two!
I immediately started working on Descendant, writing into the early morning hours. I really don't know how I functioned for three months while writing on two hours of sleep. As a busy mom of three, I was fortunate enough to take some time off from teaching to raise my children, never imagining I'd seriously write a novel. (I must admit, though, staying home was no treat! I worked harder and longer hours as a stay at home mom than I do working full time.) Luckily, my husband kept my little pirates at bay while I wrote.
While writing the final chapters of Descendant, I lost my mom to Multiple Myeloma. She was my inspiration and my best friend. Although, she spoke very little English, I know in my heart that she'd be proud of me, and in my own special way, I thank her every night.
So now as I sit here writing, at the request (and pestering, I might add) of friends, family and co-workers, I am back at the computer to finish SOULLESS.
In the meantime, cuddle with a soft, fuzzy blanket, a glass of wine or cup of tea, and read a great book!
Ciao!
