Sandra in charge…

bright-light-feathers-blue1 Charmeine was gone… and her love was gone with her!
Stunned, shocked and terrified, Tabbruis heard the perimeter alarms go off.
“Where did she go?” Dmitri asked with astonishment on his face.
Breathless, Tabbruis replied, “I do not know, but she is gone.  My heart cannot beat properly.”
“Come Tabbruis, the security monitors may have some information.”  Dmitri walked him into the study and turned on the big screen television.  Several pictures of the perimeter came up on the screen.  There were red X’s from the cameras on the southern perimeter.
Dmitri’s cell phone buzzed, and he answered it.  In a few seconds, he said something in Romanian to the caller and pushed the disconnect key.
“Our Queen is off the compound Tabbruis.  Security said she exited via the Southern corridor.”
Tabbruis could not speak.  He was struggling to even contemplate Charmeine leaving him.

English: Satellite dish in Austria.

“Dmitri, how far does your Satellite Intel go off the perimeter of the castle?” Shane asked.
“I believe about a 100 mile grid.”
“I will switch to Satellite Intel,” Thomas said.  As he began to type, his eyes became wide in amazement.  “I do not believe it Brothers.  The screen had our Queen on the same track going more than 500 miles an hour.”
Everybody gasped.
“That can’t be right Thomas.  Let me have a look at that,” Shane said.  He went to the computer and typed in some commands to double check the data.
“At that rate of speed, she could be anywhere in this hemisphere,” Tabbruis countered.  “I cannot track her if she is off the ground.  The Elder Council… what if they find her?”
“Logically, if we cannot track her, they cannot track her either,” Neal said.
“What the…  Dad, the S.I. is right,” Shane said.
“Five-hundred miles per hour is about cruising speed for airplanes,” Thomas said.
Turning to his Father, Shane asked, “What are we going to do now?”
“I do not know Son.  Even with the familiarity I have with her scent and senses, I cannot track her if she is off the ground.”
All the men began to speak at once throwing ideas at each other.
The men were in chaos!
*****
Sandra Sandra whistled using her two fingers very loudly.
The men stopped talking and looked at her with surprise.
She stood in front of Dmitri’s desk.  Her arms were folded over her chest and patting her foot on the floor with irritation.  “You look like kids who got their ice cream cone stolen from them.”  She flung her hands up in the air and yelled, “You did a nice job of screwing up!  Mierda!  Enough of this chauvinistic bullshit!  Shane, you are her son, how could you not support her?  Dad, you are her Champion…  Dmitri? Thomas? Neal?  Could all of you not even fathom the possibility of November 5th being the day we should attack?”  She took a deep breath and said sarcastically, “What faithful comrades you are….”
“What did you say little girl?”  Angrily, Neal took a step forward to Sandra.
“Go ahead Neal,” she said with determined look.  “If you think you are invincible, you aren’t.  I will put you on the floor, right here, right now buddy.”
Neal bore his fangs at her but Shane stepped in front of him.  “Stand down Neal.  We are on the same squad.  You don’t want to mess with her, believe me man.”
“Do not question my loyalty ever again little girl,” Neal said as his fangs retracted.
“I question everyone’s loyalty in this room.  Mom has a hunch, and it’s up to everyone to listen to it, not automatically dismiss her.  Also, if you think this ‘little girl’ can’t do you some damage… you have another thing coming.”
“Enough…  The biggest problem now is to locate the Queen,” Dmitri said as he walked between them.  “Everything else is secondary.  Save these petty disputes for practice.”  He pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes.  “Tabbruis, do you have any idea where she might have gone?”
“No.  I am very worried.  I have to find her Dmitri.”
Sandra walked over to the men and asked, “So I take it that no one has an idea where to find her?”
Charmeine ready to fight They all stared at her.
“Daughter,” Tabbruis said with a tremble in his voice, “We cannot track her when she does not touch the ground…”
“Dad, I’m talking about her feelings.  Listen, you have to feel her hurt, her betrayal, and her pain.  You need to put yourself in her shoes now.”  She threw her hands up in disgust and crossed her arms. “Ay-ye-ye!  Lord, help us!  Mierda!  It’s gonna take a woman, to find a woman!”
She sat in the big chair at head of the conference table, leaned back and put her hands behind her head.  “Now, all of you sit down and tell me about Mom.  No… tell me about Charmeine… the woman…”
The men stood there stunned looking at her.
She spun the chair around, slammed her hands on the table impatient for them to begin and commanded, “Now!”
