In which Hank and John and special guests the Mountain Goats bring Nerdfighteria to one of the most famous stages in the world to sing songs, tell stories, answer questions, and be extremely nervous.
I was there! Just last night... It was, indeed, awesome. :) Though I cannot vouch for John Green being "reasonably tall" as he was about the size of my thumb from the place I was sitting, I can, however, say that he is just as *insert adjective of choice here* in person as he is in a video (if not more so). I loved the readings, the music, and the declaration that "white chocolate is not chocolate!" Oh and the surprise guests! *sigh* They definitely left me wanting more, so they did something (if not everything) right. And despite having to climb the stairway to heaven to get to my seat and then, making the equally long (though slightly less painful) descent, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. All smiles.
Both John and Hank are actually pretty tall. I was at one of their rehearsals (and therefore pretty close up) and I was actually surprised at how tall they were. And slender! haha
Hey Carla, up there somewhere ^ I heard before that a movie company (Paramount?) bought the film rights but then the plan to make a movie was scrapped :( Looking for Alaska would be so awesome as a movie, but I don't think it could ever be better than the book :D
