You have questions I have answers

1. Do I need an editor or proof reader because I am illiterate and clueless?

- I have had a ton of offers from some very lovely ladies offering to help me out, but no I do not need an editor because ever since Rule became a big deal I did the responsible thing and sent him off to be cleaned up.  The edited version should be available by early next week.  Yes I am evaluating my writing process since I don't like getting hollered at for spelling and grammar, but only so many eyes can look at a manuscript before it goes in the world...plus I signed with a literary agent because well I'm too busy to do this as a real THING so now it's Stacey's job to get hollered at for me.  Oh and I am neither illiterate or clueless just a busy gal that wanted to write a story and never thought it would be read by so many people and that they would be so mad at me about commas.

2. Is Rule out on the Nook or available in paperback?

-As of right now no.  I self published on Amazon so they have all the digital rights for 90 days and I have no idea how to publish on Barnes and Noble's platform.  Again that is going to be something I put Stacey in charge of.  If the book gets sold to a publisher I think you will be able to get it in any and every form books come in, but for the moment it's only available on kindle through Amazon.

3.  When is Jet's story going to be out?

-If I have my way I'm saying May, but if the story gets sold as series I might not get to dictate that.  For now though I'm saying May.

4.  Will Shaw and Rule appear in the following stories?

- If you read Rule you know that personality isn't going anywhere.  I built this series as a world and part of that world is watching friends relationships evolve and grow, just like in real life.  Rule isn't going to let his boy's have all the fun without him.

5.  Will Rome get his own story?

-I hope so.  I would like to give Rome, Nash and Rowdy all a story.  They're a fun group of guys and they need some good ladies to settle them down and rile them up.

If you email, Facebook me, Goodreads, blog at me I will do my very best to get back to you.  I enjoy that part of this process the most.  But if you holler at me I am the type to holler back so just be prepared :)  Thanks so very much for reading, for wanting to help me, for being wonderful invested readers.
Lots of Love from the VERY cold Colo,
Jay

Sylvia I don't think you're "illiterate and clueless." I read the book, loved the story. Sure it wasn't perfect but I enjoyed the book and can't wait to read all your books. I really enjoyed "RULE"

FYI - if a book is good enough, I could give a shit less about the grammar and Rule is a book that IS good enough!!!

.Lili. Eh, just tell all the naysayers to sod off! I thought it was great. I loved, loved, loved Rule and can't wait to read more of your books ;)

Heather I gave Rule 5 stars despite any mistakes in there because quite frankly it is one of the best stories I've read. By nature I can't help notice mistakes, I'm an educator. That being said the content to me is the most important thing. Your story line and plot is real and interesting. The characters (all of them) have so much depth and...well...character. To me that is far more important than mechanical errors. I think you are a brilliant writer with some mad writing skills!! I can't wait to read more!!

Shannon Deatherage As I've stated before I loved Rule and errors or no errors I'll read your books and enjoy them.. (even though I'm a Nook Reader and had to download it to my phone Kindle app to read it) See that shows I'm a true fan that I'd read your stuff on my tiny Iphone ;) I can't wait for Jet.. Keep them coming and don't let negative "Nancys" get you down on the errors... If you can Please Please try to get the books on B&N so I don't have to read Jet on my Iphone too (even though I would if I have too) LOL!!

Wendy I loved it! if the story is good you can totally look past any mistakes and if people are so going to be so ugly about it then you don't need them! I've told all my goodreads friends and it looks like plenty others loved it so just roll with it! can't wait for the other books!!!

Jay Crownover Thanks Ladies!!! I appreciate the love!! I'm not really that touchy about negative feedback or criticism because I KNOW I didn't write a perfect manuscript. I just had no idea people...far less than you wonderful encouraging people mind you, would be MAD and I mean MAD, like I personally offended them somehow by not having this professionally edited before releasing it. I was working in a time frame I just did what I had to do to get it out there. So far the good by far out weighs the bad and I'm not the type to let others dictate what I do or how I do it, but I was just getting tired of writing the same email over and over again trying to explain that yes I know it has typos but I wasn't expecting it to be such a big seller so proofreading wasn't a top priority and that yes an edited version will soon be out.
Mostly it's really nice stuff like you ladies offered up and I'm a tough cookie I can field the grumpy pants, but I do tend to say whats on my mind so there ya go!!

Oh,but you did write the perfect book. There's so many other books out there with perfect spelling/grammar that are just plain corny drivel and proper spelling did no help to any of them.Yours, however is Amazeballs even with a few misspelled words! Keep them coming and don't listen to ones who can't apreciate a good thing .;)

318830 I stayed up way, way to late last night to finish Rule. I loved every single minute of it! (I did not care one bit about a typo here or there) The story was amazing! This is why I love reading! Thank you!
I'm shouting from the rooftops today that everyone needs to read this!

T.H. Great story!

message 11: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Garcia Agreed with all the above comments! A good story is a good story regardless of any imperfections it might have. I didnt need a dictionary to read it :) Loved the story, finished reading it this morning after two days of reading and can't wait to hear Jet and Ayden's story next!!

message 12: by Melissia (new)

Melissia So I think that if Rule is an imperfect book then when you write the next few with all the extra help we are going to be so amazed because Rule the book is as perfect as you describe Rule the man imperfections and all!
