Paul That made me laugh.
As a "ginger" myself, I've haven't always loved being the kid that stood out in the crowd. Luckily, I was always pretty much the "big" kid... so very few of the other kids had the "physical" advantage needed to make fun of my beautiful red locks, heh.
Nowadays, you can still tell I was once a red-head, but mostly it's all grays and whiotes ;-)

Ian Cook Paul...I'm amazed by the number of 'gingerism/gingerphobia' stories running here in the media at present. Just look at this in to-day's Guardian.

Paul lol, pretty soon you'll have people going around using the "g-word" instead of actually saying Ginger :-)
As a very young child being a red-head got me alot of attention from the big girls all wanting to play with me and my hair... I'd complained back then, but these days I wish I still got as much attention from the ladies... ah well.

Paul Speaking of Gingers, have you seen the "original" DUNE movie?
Did you notice that the Harkonnens (described as being animals) are all redheads?
I found that funny at the time

Ian Cook A very kind message about 'The Future Is Red' from Ronald Hutton, Professor of History, University of Bristol and a leading UK authority on paganism and witchcraft.
"I have now managed to read your book at last and have of course much enjoyed it. The plot and premiss of the whole thing is entirely original, and I swiftly got to care about the characters and found myself reading later than was really wise to find out what was going to happen."
