What’s up with all of the fun ask box questions??

1. There’s pretty much nothing I like better than fanart. If you don’t want to post here on tumblr or elsewhere, there’s a mailing addy on my web site. I would be honored and delighted if you sent something my way, and you can expect me to put it up on the wall of my office and be generally ridiculous about it. So, y’know, prepare yourself.

2. I’m not sure I mention Alina’s eye color, but I’ve always imagined her having brown eyes.

3. Okay, don’t be vexed, but I kind of want to leave the animal part to you. If you imagine her as a bird, I’d love to see that vision. I think it would also depend which point of the story you were at. At the beginning of Shadow and Bone, Alina is a bit of a mouse (well, maybe a surly vole) as the Darkling so kindly points out. But she becomes something very different by story’s end.
