Uhm. I'm not sure. Preview of my new book?

I really do not know what is wrong with me lately, but I just haven't felt like reading... anything. I've been tired. Going to lay in bed in a little while and read some. My second book is now out. yahoo on that one. It's free for kindle till' the 15th, so if you want it, Snatch it. I'm starting a new one... Want to hear some of it? Why not?

As she sits on the front stairs outside of the nearly condemned apartment building, she sighs. The clouds have quickly turned a dark grey and they threaten a storm any moment. Thunder purrs in the distance. The scent of sulfur lingers in the air.
“Aw crap,” she mumbles to the cat purring loudly next to her. “It looks like there’s a storm coming Tom Cat.” She pats the cat on the head and gathers her things before heading inside.
“Jade! What are you doing? Get that disgusting thing out of here.” The apartment smells of smoke again. Her mother has been drinking. The small television in the corner of the room plays loudly.
“But momma,” she tries to talk but is abruptly stopped by the force of her mother’s hand colliding on her cheek.
“Don’t momma me. Now listen to me and get that damned cat out of here.” Sadly, she picks the tiny cat up in her arms and walks it back outside.
“I’m sorry Tom Cat. If momma says no then I can’t keep you.” She pats his head again as a single tear falls down her cheek.
The rain falls loudly on her bedroom window. It nearly drowns out the sounds of her mother’s cursing. Her father must have come home late again. They argue loudly.
She tucks herself deeper under the covers and closes her eyes letting the sound of the booming thunder ease her into a restless sleep....
