This Week’s Obsessions 1/12/2013

Here’s a quick rundown of the things I’m obsessed with this week!

Scalped – I’ve been a little behind when it comes to finishing up this series, possibly because I really didn’t want it to end. I finally sat down to read the final trade paperback, but before doing so I decided to re-read all of the issues leading up to the finale. The series was phenomenal from beginning to end, and it wrapped up in such a tragic and heartbreaking way. Highly recommended!

Dredd – It’s rare anymore that I watch a movie, then immediately want to re-watch it, but this adaptation of Judge Dredd brought that out in me. From the soundtrack to the set design, I loved it. Karl Urban’s stoic portrayal was spot on. The flick reminded me of old school Robocop. My only complaint is that I would have loved to see more of Mega-City One. Still, what a blast!
