Me, Embarrassed? I don't think so!

So over the holidays, my dad and step-mother came to visit my family. It was very exciting for us because my dad is always soooo very busy with work. I don't have a clue as to how my step-mother did it, but she finally wore him down and I am very thankful to her.

My co-author (whom he knows just as well as he knows me)and I decided not to make a big deal about our self-published book to our parents as it has some offensive language, raunchy humor and explicit sex scenes. We didn't want them to feel "awkward".

Well, he caught me giggling as I was typing our sequel and wanted to know what was so funny. I moved over and let him read it.

After he was done, he looked at me and said "I am conflicted. I don't know if I should find this funny or think that you have serious issues with your sense of humor." He was totally grinning so I know that he thought it was funny.

All I could say to that is, "If you think that's bad, let me show you our published book."

After I forced him to read the tethered scene and the shat scene, he was shaking his head and laughing. Of course, he cried off reading any of the sex scenes. He felt it was an invasion of privacy. I kept telling him this was fiction. I have never shat myself; however, I can see his confusion because there are some things that are based on my life in the book that blur the reality/fiction lines somewhat.

I can't help it if funny stuff happens to me and I want to share it! Me, embarrassed? I don't think so!
