Re-solution?

Aloha All,

Did you ever notice that the word resolution is re-solution?

Every January I make a huge list of goals and after many many years of goal tending, I feel like I’m constantly resolving to re-solve the same old habits over and over again.

Take this year for instance. Tomorrow I’m going underground to finish up the 3rd book of the Tiki Goddess Mystery series that’s been burning up the ebook downloads and causing a stir around our little island town here in Hawaii.

I’m setting up a workplace off the beaten path in the house which means vacating the office I share with my adorable husband who is like a bulldog when it comes to keeping others at bay but it’s all right for him to interrupt me 24/7 and for some reason think that isn’t a distraction.

The office also overlooks the Tiki Port, which is the main thoroughfare for all of our great neighbors and a place of music, dance, art, and laughs. Rather than shut down the Tiki Port, I’m going to migrate upstairs.

And that’s about it. No other resolutions. Just the one solution to the task of staying on deadline. Hopefully the next time I blog it will be to announce that the book is done, deadline met, mission accomplished.

Hope all your re-solutions are successful too.

Until next time,

Jill Marie
